A Hagerstowm man and a juvenile have been charged with trying to break in to a shed early Friday in the 13800 block of North Valley Drive, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
Neeko Ricardo Young-Austin, 20, of 12939 Little Elliott Drive Apt. 2, was charged with two counts each of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
He also was charged with one count each of theft and malicious destruction of property.
Deputies said they were called at 1:39 a.m. Friday for a report of two males with flashlights trying to enter a shed. The resident confronted the suspects, and was able to detain Young-Austin.
The second male, a 16-year-old juvenile, was found trying to flee the area, the release said.
The juvenile was charged through the Department of Juvenile Services with the same counts as Young-Austin.
Deputies said Young-Austin was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
