Council members OK pumper purchase for fire company
Hagerstown City Council members Tuesday night approved the purchase of a pumper to replace an engine at the First Hagerstown Hose Co.
Council members approved spending $447,017 for a pumper from Kovatck Mobile Equipment, according to the city.
First Hagerstown Hose Co. has agreed to contribute $150,000 and the city’s share is $297,017, according to the city.
Street closures approved for special events
A list of street closures for special events in Hagerstown this year were approved by Hagerstown City Council members Tuesday night.
The closures approved included:
'Dublin at the Diamond' scheduled for March 16
Hagerstown City Council members approved a non-game event known as “Dublin at the Diamond” on Saturday, March 16, at Municipal Stadium. The event will start immediately following the St. Patrick’s Day 5K race downtown. Council members also approved the addition of Maryland State Lottery Keno equipment at the stadium.
