HAGERSTOWN—
A Hagerstown man faces charges of drunken driving and leaving the scene of a three-car crash that killed a Delaware woman last May.
Washington County authorities filed 11 counts Wednesday against Cory S. Kuczynski, 25.
Defense attorney D. Benson Thompson said Kuczynski maintains his innocence and views the incident as a tragedy.
Danielle Paikin, 21, of Newark, Del., died in the May 6, 2010, accident on Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65). Police say she was a passenger in a car that first collided head-on with another vehicle and then was hit by Kuczynski’s car.
Three others were hurt in the incident.
