Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a special  three-wheeled bike valued at $8,000 that was stolen, the Hagerstown Police Department said.

The therapeutic bike, which was stolen at about 5 p.m. on June 30, had been awarded to a family living at 115 Church St. with grant funding, according to an email from city police Sgt. Jim Hurd.

“A family member took the bike for a ride on the 30th, but did not return with it,” he wrote. “The family member is not saying what happened to the bike, and an investigation is ongoing.”
