Keller Stonebraker Insurance Inc. recently acquired the assets of another Hagerstown insurance broker, Stine Davis of Hagerstown, a Stonebraker official said.
“Scott Davis, the principal over there (at Stine Davis), will be coming over to us as a licensed agent,” said John Schnebly, vice chairman of Keller Stonebraker.
There will be little or no impact on Stine Davis clients because Keller Stonebraker represents the same insurance carriers, Schnebly said.
Transactions for clients of the former Stine Davis will be handled out of Keller Stonebraker’s offices at 1120 Professional Court, he said.
Established in 1901, Keller Stonebraker is one of the oldest insurance brokerage firms in Maryland, he said.
The company employs more than 50 people and has branch offices in Cumberland, Frederick and Ellicott City, Md., and Keyser, W.Va., he said.
Schnebly did not disclose financial terms of the acquisition, which was effective June 1.
