More charges have been filed against a Smithsburg man following a theft from Grimm’s Salvage Yard on Jefferson Boulevard near Smithsburg, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Bryan Lynn Fishack, 27, has previously been charged with 13 counts of theft-related crimes over the course of five incidents since September.
One of the charges was one count of theft from $1,000 to $10,000 for allegedly stealing metal from Grimm’s Salvage Yard, according to the sheriff’s office and Washington County District Court records.
Fishack is now facing additional charges of motor vehicle theft, unauthorized removal of property and two counts of theft, according to a news release.
The vehicle Fishack had during his Nov. 29 arrest at Grimm’s was stolen on Nov. 28, the release said.
Fishack, who had been free on bond, was found by authorities on Wednesday at a house on Mapleville Road, the release said. Fishack was being held at the Washington County Detention Center on Thursday night on $35,000 bond.
While authorities were at the Mapleville Road home, they also arrested Fishack’s sister, Amelia Fishack, 24, of Smithsburg, according to the news release.
Amelia Fishack was charged with possession of a rifle/shotgun with a felony conviction, possession/distribution of controlled dangerous substance administering equipment and possession of a firearm, the release said.
On Nov. 21, deputies searched Amelia Fishack’s vehicle after a police dog gave a positive alert for narcotics in the vehicle, the release said.
Deputies found heroin, heroin paraphernalia and a receipt for a rifle Fishack pawned, the release said.
