Two 17-year-old Hagerstown boys were arrested Thursday morning in connection with an armed robbery of Hartle’s Subs at 1301 Marshall St., Wednesday night, according to a Hagerstown Police Department spokesman.
Nijah Abdul-Rahin and Sheldon Maxie-Hilton are charged as adults, said Lt. Tom Langston.
Abdul-Rahin and Maxie-Hilton are each charged with first- and second-degree assault, armed robbery and use of a handgun during a crime of violence or felony and other charges, Langston said.
Both boys were being held in the county’s central booking facility Thursday afternoon waiting to see a district court commissioner, a central booking spokesman said.
The males - one displaying a handgun - entered the sub shop about 6:44 p.m. and demanded money, said Sgt. Andrew Lewis.
An undetermined amount of money was taken, Lewis said.
Both of males had items obscuring their faces, Lewis said. One male was wearing a blue shirt with a yellow hood and the other male was wearing a gray hooded shirt with a white mask, Lewis said.
