A Nissan Altima turning into the McDonald's driveway collided with a Chrysler, Crawford said. The Altima then spun around.
The driver of the Altima was taken to Meritus Medical Center, Crawford said.
There was only one person in each vehicle, he said.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash, he said.
Both cars were towed away. The passenger side of the Altima was damaged and its passenger-side airabags were deployed. . The Chrysler had front-end damage and its steering-wheel airbag was deployed.
A firetruck from the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Co. was on the scene, along with units from the Washington County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police.
Police responded to the accident at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday and partially blocked off the southbound lane of East Potomac Street in the area. The lane was reopened after the cars were towed away.
The scene was cleared by 9:30 a.m.
