United Way of Washington County is requesting proposals for Round 2 Community Impact Funds for the 2013 Program year.
Funding is available for programs designed to meet education, income, and health needs within Washington County. Any 501(C)3, health and human service agency is eligible to apply for funds to assist programs to be provided from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014, according to a news release from United Way.
The most pressing health and human service needs in the Washington County community were identified through a comprehensive needs assessment and planning process that began in June 2009, the release says. This effort included the identification and prioritization of needs, as well as the development of goals and strategies to assist the community in having an impact upon those needs. The results of this planning process are included in the Strategic Community Impact Plan (SCIP), which can be found at: http://www.cfwcmd.org/strategic-community-impact-plan-scip.
All responses to the Request for Proposal must address one or more of the goals and strategies contained in the SCIP.
Local Health and Human Service agencies are encouraged to submit applications that feature programs developed in partnership with other human service and educational institutions, the release says.
A lead agency must be identified that would be responsible for submitting collaborative financial and program reports and be financially responsible for the program.
Applications are available on the United Way website www.unitedwaywashcounty.org). All applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on March 29.
Applicants must attend a Mandatory Pre-Proposal Training on one of two dates:
