Lombardi will be speaking at the event, as well as other members of the Hancock Ministerium who have been invited to speak, he said.

Among the religious freedom issues are federal government intrusions upon Catholics and Christians, including attempts to mandate that religious institutions provide coverage for contraception and sterilization, Lombardi said.

He also cited the federal government’s lack of support for traditional marriage and the Defense of Marriage Act, as well as state laws at odds with Catholic foster-care and adoption agencies.
