HAGERSTOWN —A female was stabbed and raped in the 900 block of Security Road on Tuesday morning, the second stabbing of a female in the area in less than a week, according to the Hagerstown Police Department.
City police responded to the 900 block of Security Road at 6 a.m. and found a female who had suffered several wounds that appeared to be caused by a knife, according to a news release.
The female said she had been raped after a male broke into her home, police said.
The female was taken to Meritus Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

Another woman was stabbed in the face and the neck in the 900 block of Security Road on Feb. 8, city police said. The woman was treated by a plastic surgeon at Meritus Medical Center and released, police said.
Two city residents were charged with attempted murder in that stabbing, police said.
A Hagerstown Police Department spokesman said Tuesday the two stabbings are not related.
