METAIRIE, LA—
A power outage in Metairie Wednesday afternoon put about 4,000 Entergy customers in the dark.
It also knocked out several traffic lights along Airline Drive -- just in time for rush hour traffic.
Entergy says a problem with the cross arm on a power pole cause the outage.
By 9:00 Wednesday night, the company expected to have virtually all of the power restored.
The outage also affected parts of Old Metairie and Old Jefferson, according to Entergy.
