Elizabethtown East Neighborhoods 1st to meet Tuesday

It will provide space for public events, art classes, workshops and festivals, special events and other museum activities.

The atrium will also be available for private functions during hours when the museum is closed to the public.

A ribbon cutting for the atrium is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with a public open house, refreshments, a short program, and cutting of a cake that will be shaped in the form of the museum, with the new atrium.

Barbecue bingo planned at fire hall

Western Enterprise Fire Co. will hold a barbecue bingo Sunday, May 22.  

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 2 p.m.  

Tickets cost $20. There will be more than 25 cases of meat, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, pork chops and steaks as prizes. There will also be tip jars and raffles.

No one younger than 16 will be admitted and you must be 18 to play tip jars.

Church to hold yard sale May 21

Saint James Brethren Church will hold a yard sale Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rental tables cost $15 in the parking lot and $20 under the pavilion.

The church is off Md. 68.
