Flea market to benefit Hub Band

A scrapbook flea market will be held Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Hagerstown High School.  

It is a fundraiser for the Hub Marching Band and all proceeds will go to support the band.

Tickets go on sale March 21, but tables to rent are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0446 had a net weight loss for the week of 14.3 pounds. Joanne Ph. was the thinner winner, with a loss of 4 pounds.

The chapter elected the following officers: leader, Mary; co-leader, Marie; secretary, Joyce C.; and treasurer, Elise.

Longmeadow Lions

The Longmeadow Lions Club’s meeting Thursday will feature the activities of the Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross.  The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Always Ron’s. To reserve a spot at the meeting, call 301-739-2815 by Tuesday.

The membership is conducting a fundraiser through the sale of tickets for handmade throws and a quilt.
