Federal Little League in need of umpires

The Get-R-Done winners were: TOPS — Jean Hart; and KOPS — Joan Budny. The no-no snack for this week is snack crackers.

Pat Bruchey presented the program on “Reach Out and Touch a Member,” stressing how important it is to contact and encourage other members.

Basket bingo to benefit W. Md. Hospital Center

The annual Linn Hendershot basket bingo, sponsored by Western Maryland Hospital Center Auxiliary, will be Sunday, March 27, at Williamsport Fire Hall.

Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and bingo begins at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $30 for one or $50 for two. There will be 25 regular games, five specials, mini raffles and door prizes.

Hagerstown Lioness Club

The Hagerstown Lioness Club will host a dessert, card/game party Tuesday, April 5, at The Hagerstown Women’s Club, 31 S. Prospect St. from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $10. Participants are asked to bring their own cards or games.  For ticket information, call 301-739-2815.


St. Mary Catholic School

  • Today — Restaurant Night at Beef O’Brady’s on North Pointe Drive.  A percentage of your bill will go toward St. Mary Catholic School.
  • Tuesday — Middle school students will spend the day at Hagerstown Community College to learn about career opportunities, especially in the areas of science and technology.
  • Thursday — The Yankee Candle fundraiser begins.  All orders must be in by April 7.
