Dog training month
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the largest dog trainer organization in existence with more than 5,000 members worldwide, has declared January to be National Train Your Dog Month.
It’s a reminder to start the new year spending quality time with your four-legged best friend. Remember that training your dog is the best thing you can do to ensure that it has a lifelong happy home with you for the rest of its years.
As members of the association, the Peaceable Paws dog training facility invites the community to celebrate the month by signing up for classes at its indoor, climate-controlled training center in Fairplay, five miles south of Hagerstown near Antietam National Battlefield.
In 2013, the center will offer puppy and adult basic good manners, puppy social evenings, real life and super dog classes and games nights.
Small group classes ensure that participants get individualized attention in the center’s force-free, modern, positive reinforcement-based training programs.
Participants can take advantage of the center’s free two-hour Find Your Inner Lassie seminar offered every month.
The seminar is presented in part by speaker/author/trainer Pat Miller.
