Shelter needs supplies

The Humane Society of Washington County is experiencing a shortage of supplies and is asking the public for its assistance.

The shelter is in need of Yesterday’s News cat litter, nonclumping clay litter and Purina Kitten Chow. Intake of mother cats and kittens has risen to about 105 a week.  The result is a depletion in the supplies for cats and kittens. A reduction in the numbers of cats being brought to the shelter is not expected until fall. The shelter is asking anyone wishing to donate supplies to bring those items to the shelter at 13011 Maugansville Road in Hagerstown,

Call 301-733-2060 or go to www.hswcmd.org for information on animal-related issues, directions to the shelter and information about programs and services.
