Boonsboro AYSO, or American Youth Soccer Organization, will hold registration for the spring season Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Boonsboro Library.
Participants should bring copies of each child’s birth certificate and address verification. Players 6 and younger play on coed teams with a $25 fee. Older children play on formal teams for $45 for the season. Discounts are available for multiple children per family.
Registration can be completed online at www.eayso.org. Registration may also be done by mail, by printing out copies of the online forms and mailing to Boonsboro AYSO, P.O. Box 102, Boonsboro, MD 21713. Registration packets received after Feb. 20 will incur a $15 late fee.
Anyone who wishes to sponsor a team is welcome to do so.

If you are looking for some ways to fill your time now that football season is over, American Legion Clopper Michael Post 10 has a few activities on the docket.
The legion will host a basket bingo Sunday. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and bingo begins at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $20, and include 20 regular games of bingo and five specials.

Shrimp and crab legs
On Sunday, Feb. 19, the legion post will host a shrimp and crab leg feed. Tickets cost $35 per person, and include shrimp and crab legs between 1 and 3 p.m.
Hot dogs, crab soup and other items will be served. Doors open at noon.

Citizens group to meet Feb. 15
Citizens for the Preservation of Pleasant Valley will meet Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rohrersville Ruritan Schoolhouse off Md. 67. Elections will be held, along with discussion about the Hagerstown to Weverton rail trail. All are welcome to attend.

Boonsboro Library to show two movies
The Boonsboro branch of Washington County Free Library will offer two movies in the coming weeks. Dinner and a movie, featuring the film “One Day,” will be shown Friday at 6 p.m. Bring your own dinner. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
For the younger crowd, “Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom” will be shown Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11:30 a.m.
