CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. —The Franklin County (Pa.) Planning Department is sponsoring a series of interactive, regional public meetings to obtain public participation in the development of the comprehensive plan, which is a document that outlines the goals and objectives in planning for the future of the county.
Elements that are addressed in the plan include land use, transportation, community facilities, housing, recreation, open space, natural resources, and economic development. Analysis of these issues will allow the county to outline a land use plan and develop priorities that will guide growth and development.
“The board of commissioners encourages citizens to attend one of these meetings to ensure the success of this endeavor,” Commissioners Chairman David S. Keller said in a news release.
The meetings have been scheduled as follows:
Monday, July 18, 6 p.m.
Norlo Park Community Center, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, Pa.
Monday, July 25, 2 p.m.
