A tanker truck was engulfed in flames on Interstate 81 north of Shippensburg, Pa., and the highway was closed in both directions Tuesday morning, Pennsylvania State Police said.
At least one person died in the crash, which took place at about 9:50 a.m. police said.
The collision between the tractor-trailer and a pickup truck occurred on I-81 southbound at mile post 30.5 in Cumberland County, Pa., police said.
Traffic was being detoured between Exit 37 (Newville) and Exit 29 (Shippensburg).
