Long lines to vote were being reported across the 75 precincts in Franklin County, according to Deputy Chief Clerk Jean Byers.
Poll workers said some of the people arriving to vote were at the wrong place or not registered to vote at all, Byers said. Calls about registration status and polling locations continued to come into the courthouse, she said.
"We had a few machine problems early on," Byers said, saying some machines experienced jams or dead batteries.
Those problems were resolved by late morning, she said.
Pennsylvania voters may vote as long as they are in line by 8 p.m.
