A 16-year-old McConnellsburg, Pa., boy was charged with simple assault and other counts in connection with a Monday afternoon fight near McConnellsburg High School.
The youth also was charged with harassment and criminal mischief, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release.
Troopers said the fight happened at about 3 p.m. Monday, when the teenagers got into a scuffle and fell through a woman's fence, smashing it to pieces. Police allege the accused then got up and punched a mailbox.
The other youth in the fight, a 17-year-old who also lives in McConnellsburg, was taken to Fulton County Medical Center to be treated for facial and mouth injuries, police said.
The 16-year-old suffered minor cuts and abrasions, according to the release.
