Oshkosh Corp., the parent company of JLG Industries, has announced it will produce 2,500 military vehicles for theU.S. Army.

The medium tactical vehicles will be produced at the Oshkosh facility in Wisconsin, company spokesman John Daggett said Thursday.

The order will not affect production at JLG, Daggett said.

It is the latest order under the five-year, $294 million contract awarded to Oshkosh for the production of trucks and trailers, as well as support services and training through 2015, according to a company statement.
