Pa. jogger recovering from injuries after being hit by truck

A Chambersburg woman is recovering from injuries she received when she was struck by a pickup truck while jogging Monday, police said.

Denny Rengifo, 31, was running along the shoulder of South Main Street in the borough when the pickup truck struck her from behind just after noon, according to Chambersburg police.


Police said Rengifo was taken to Chambersburg Hospital and later flown to York (Pa.) Hospital. Her condition was unavailable late Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Ralph Ebersole, 63, of Greencastle, Pa., was driving a Chevrolet Colorado north on South Main Street when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed South Main in the 1500 block and struck Rengifo.

Police said their investigation is continuing.
