Pa. district to use interim business person
WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro Area School District will be using a $500-a-day interim business administrator until someone is hired to permanently replace Caroline Dean, who recently resigned to take a position in the Fairfield (Pa.) Area School District.
Dean’s last day is Friday, school board member Chris Lind said Tuesday.
“She has been a good steward of our resources in the district,” board member Pat Heefner said.
The district has been advertising for a business administrator and applications were submitted, Lind said.
Before someone is hired, the district will use a business administrator, Tom Mesler, sent from the Lincoln Intermediate Unit.
Lind said Mesler will only be available a few days a week.
Dean will have 95 percent of the annual audit completed before she leaves, Superintendent James Robertson said.
