Police said three men, including two in their 70s, drowned in two unrelated incidents at a central Pennsylvania lake.

State police said two Chambersburg, Pa., men drowned late Sunday at Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County. Officials said the men got into the water from their boat without life jackets.

Investigators identified the men as 57-year-old Jerry Hugo Broman and 71-year-old Larry Elwood Newman. The Altoona (Pa.) Mirror reported autopsies were planned for Monday.

Earlier Sunday, 71-year-old Igor Khodavsky, whose address was not known, sank below the surface while swimming, officials said.

He was pulled from the water by family members and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

The 8,000-acre lake is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, according to the corps’ website.

Approximately 1.5 million visitors a year take advantage of beaches, boat launches, campgrounds, trails, and hunting and fishing, the website states.
