Two men from North Carolina and New York have pleaded guilty to using counterfeit credit cards to obtain thousands of dollars in cash advances at a West Virginia casino.
Carlo Gause, 38, of Wilmington, N.C., and Dwayne Fleming, 38, of Brooklyn, N.Y., each pleaded guilty Wednesday to use of a counterfeit access device before a federal magistrate in Martinsburg.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld said Thursday that Gause agreed as part of a plea deal to pay $155,300 in restitution to Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. Fleming agreed to pay $34,000 in restitution.
The incidents occurred in 2010.
Each defendant faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. They remain in custody pending sentencing.
