A 29-year-old man accused of sexually abusing several children between the ages of 3 and 12 last summer was arraigned Wednesday on six felony counts of sexual abuse, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.
Donald Freedman Graham of Martinsburg, who was arraigned by Magistrate Harry L. Snow, was being held in Eastern Regional Jail Wednesday night on a $90,000 bond, according to court and jail records.
West Virginia State Police Trooper W.R. Garrett was notified in November of the allegations involving three children by West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources officials, according to court documents. The illicit contact allegedly occurred in August, according to court documents.
Earlier this month, Garrett was notified of additional allegations of illicit contact with three other children, documents state.
Garrett said the defendant confessed to having inappropriate contact with the first group of children who were identified as victims, but denied illicit contact with a fourth child, court documents state.
The fourth child told authorities earlier this month that the defendant also had inappropriate contact with two other children, according to court documents.
Virginia authorities who learned of the abuse involving the first group of children had them relocated, according to court documents.
