To some of you, last Thursday was just another snow storm. To power line workers, it was the perfect storm.

Because the temperature was right at freezing, the snow had more weight to it.

Crews in Floyd County spent all of yesterday cutting down limbs and clearing trees to restore power to five homes.  They've been up and down the east coast this past year.

"These guys are tough as they come. They really are. They're used to doing this, doesn't matter if it's in Florida or Upstate New York, they've done it all from point A to point B," site manager Dave Beran told me yesterday.
