Staff say the car destroyed the reception area and an exam room.

The building remains boarded up today but visible cracks are in the walls outside.

The force of the crash shook the entire building and moved shelves in different rooms.

"The other side of the building is practically destroyed. The walls are down the ceilings are falling in. All the computers were disintegrated," said Angela Shelton, the site manager for PATHS Chatham.

Chatham Town Police say the people inside the car left after the accident.

They arrested one passenger but are looking for more.

Staff left early that day because of the winter weather which may have been a cause of the wreck.
