A big announcement coming out of Blacksburg this morning.
A Virginia Tech graduate who now lives in Florida, told a packed room that his company- "Blacksburg APF Properties", is adding a new 12 screen theatre, a bowling alley, a restaurant and an I-Max Theatre on the property known as "First and Main."
This outdoor shopping center has gone through several owners and tenants since being built. A handful of anchor stores are empty now.
The new owners say they have ties to the area and are talking to a variety of potential tenants, including general merchandise stores.
The new theatre is expected to open sometime next year.
