HALIFAX COUNTY, Va.—
Republicans in Virginia's 5th district are mourning a loss.
Tucker Watkins died this weekend after battling cancer. He's the former chairman of the 5th district Republican party.
Watkins worked on the campaigns of George Allen and Virgil Goode. He's also a decorated army veteran, who fought in Vietnam.
Watkins lived in the town of Clover in Halifax County. He was 66 years old.
