Two suspects didn't get very far after a robbery in Galax Sunday. Officers say the CVS Pharmacy on East Stuart Drive was robbed around 3:00 p.m.
A man and woman went inside, said they were armed, and demanded some prescription medication.
The two got away, only to be found by police nearby just 10 minutes later.

Galax Police have arrested and charged two people in connection with the Robbery of the CVS Drug Store located on East Stuart Drive in Galax.
Galax Police were notified at approximately 3:00 p.m. on June 24, 2012 that a W/M had entered the drug store and given a note to a pharmacy technician that they were being robbed and that he was armed. The note identified the Schedule II narcotics that he wanted.
When the suspect left the store the police were notified by store employees, a witness in the parking lot stayed until the police arrived and pointed out a direction that he had observed someone running in.
Responding officers checked the area on Stockyard Road near the store and established a perimeter.
Police Officer Trevor Jefferson than observed two people a male and female come out of the bushes and into Stockyard Road one of which matched the description of the robbery suspect.
Jefferson along with Police Officer(s) Adam Newman and Bill Shaffner took the pair into custody.
Detective JB Greer who coordinated the investigation obtained warrants charging:
Brian Richard Sloppy (32) of New Millport, Pennsylvania
Renee Sue Lucas (22) of Follansbee, West Virignia
Both were charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to commit Robbery and Use or Attempt to Use a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. The pair was transported to the New River Valley Jail where they are being held without bond.
Galax Police Officer Jacob Vaughan a police canine handler recovered the stolen property and evidence from the robbery in a wooded area near the CVS store.
