A Pittsylvania County family is faced with a daily reminder of a tornado that damaged their home a year ago.
An EF-1 tornado ripped off part of the roof at the Caswell family's home a year ago this week.
Rain poured through the ceiling and ruined floors.
The family replaced the tin roof but inside the damage is too expensive for the family to fix.
In the meantime, they've put up tarp.
"You used to be able to see through right here. We've got the tarp up right now. Same thing in all the rooms all the boards were coming down. We had to keep the warmth in," said Jacob Caswell who has lived in the house his entire life.
The family says the house was build in the 1800's and will need a completely new roof.
