ROANOKE, Va.—A Salem man has been arrested for a a day-time robbery at a Rent-A-Center in Roanoke.
39-year-old Daniel Scott Campbell has been charged with two counts of robbery.
According to the Roanoke Police Department, Campbell went into the store, took money, and tried to run off.
Campbell was detained before he was able to get away.

An arrest has been made in a robbery that occurred on June 11, 2012. Officers responded at 12:03 p.m. to Rent-A-Center located in the 600 block of 21st Street. The first officer to arrive on scene was notified by people inside of the business that the suspect was attempting to exit the building through a side door. The officer located an individual matching the suspect description attempting to exit the business through a garage door. Officers detained the individual without incident. A store employee stated that the suspect entered the store, made a statement to an employee, took money and attempted to flee. Two additional store employees stated that they attempted to stop the suspect from exiting the store while 911 was called. Through the investigation officers determined that the individual detained upon their arrival was the suspect. He is identified as Daniel Scott Campbell, age 39 of Salem. Mr. Campbell was arrested and has been charged with two counts of robbery.
