A crash that backed up traffic on Interstate 81 in Smyth County is now clear. The Virginia Department of Transportation reported a three mile backup in the northbound lanes until the wreck was cleaned up.

State police say the left northbound lane is closed because of a tractor trailer accident.
The traffic backup is around 3 miles long.
