GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A West Michigan couple who were married for 76 years died three days apart this week.
Richard Bromley died on Sunday, and Mabel Bromley passed on Wednesday. Both were 98.
Daughter Lynne Reimann tells The Grand Rapids Press "it really is quite a love story."
Family members are gathering Saturday to celebrate the Bromleys' life together.
They had seven children, 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
The pair lived in several locations around Grand Rapids but spent most of the past 40 years in Kentwood. They both died at Sunrise Assisted Living center in Kent County's Cascade Township, where they had lived for the past year.
