Allan Lewis Purdham II, 41, of College Road, Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Feb. 19, 1971, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of Allan L. Purdham of Hagerstown and the late Carol Estelle Clemons Purdham.
He was employed with South Mountain Creamery.
He was an ASA softball umpire. He also played with Hub City Softball; and coached Halfway Little League and Smithsburg Babe Ruth League. He was a member of numerous bowling leagues.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Kristyn Purdham; one son, Jordan Purdham of Hagerstown; three sisters, Marshelle Stotler and husband, Ernie, of Boonsboro, Sandi Purdham Leissler of Hagerstown, and Wendy Griffith and husband, Brian, of Boonsboro; mother-in-law, Mary Wagner; numerous aunts and uncles; four nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; six great-nephews; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
Pastor Rodney K. Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made help defray funeral expenses and also a college fund for son, Jordan Purdham. Donations can be made to Bulldog Federal Credit Union.
