Mrs. Alma L. Stone, 93, of Frederick, Md., died Saturday, July 28, 2012.
She was the wife of Walter Eugene Stone, who died in 1984.
Born Nov. 4, 1918, in Leitersburg, Md. (Washington County), she was the daughter of the late Lester C. and Ida May Neal Stockslager.
She retired in 1984 from the Food and Drug Administration, Bureau of Biologics on the campus of the National Institutes of Health.
She was a member of South End Baptist Church in Frederick.
She enjoyed being with people, playing cards at the Frederick Senior Center (in earlier years), growing flowers and plants, and listening to classical music. She loved being with her family, and looked forward to the many family reunions and visits from her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by two daughters, Emily Moler and husband, Mark, and Alice Rhoderick and husband, Charles; granddaughter, Carrie Rhoderick; grandson, Charles Rhoderick Jr.; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Stockslager of Hagerstown, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Hess of Pottstown, Pa., and Ella Mae Bingaman of Leitersburg; and brothers, Clyde Stockslager and Charles Stockslager, both of Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, where services will be follow at 2 p.m. in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. J. Kenneth Stalls, pastor of South End Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
