BOONSBORO, Md. — Anna Catherine Matilda Hastings, of Boonsboro, and formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro.
Born Friday, March 2, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Alfonson Hetzer and Mable E. Bloom Hetzer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Clinton Hastings, in 1965.
She was employed with E.J. Fennel for many years and was a member of Calvary Grace Brethren Church.
She is survived by her son, Larry L. Hastings and wife, Cheryl Gouker, of Boonsboro; two sisters, Maudie Frye of Hagerstown and Catherine Delehanty, N.C.; a brother, George Hetzer of Clear Spring, Md.; and two grandchildren, Aaron Hastings of Boonsboro and Shawn Hasenbuhler, DeLand, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Elizabeth Hasenbuhler; and a brother, Charles Hetzer.
Services will be held privately with the family.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, Md.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Anna to Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home & Village, 8507 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
