Arthur Francis Gorman Jr., 85, of Hancock, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born Feb. 21, 1926, in Plainfield, N.J., he was the son of the late Arthur Francis Gorman Sr. and Sadie May Ferguson Gorman, and the widower of Marion Alice Cordes Gorman, who died in 2005.
He was retired from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Hagerstown, and in Conway, S.C.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers in Hagerstown, Elks Club Lodge 378 in Hagerstown, and the Elks lodge in Conway.
He is survived by two sons, Arthur Francis Gorman III of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Edward Allan Gorman of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Jeanne Stokes of Hancock, Md., and Karen Ann Allan of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Ruthie Ross of Nasua, N.H., Delores Mowbray and Jeanne DeMathews, both of Port Saint Lucie; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
