Billy Lee Kline, 76, of Cavetown, Md., passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at his home.
Born June 26, 1935, in Cavetown, he was the son of the late Lloyd R. and Frances L. (Blickenstaff) Kline.
He attended Smithsburg High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force.
He retired in 1998 from Independent Cement Corp. of Hagerstown after 35 years of service.
He was a member and past governor of Moose Lodge 1191 of Waynesboro, Pa., and life member of the Smithsburg Volunteer Fire Department and the North American Rod and Gun Club.
Billy had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Shirley Y. (Brown) Kline, whom he married Jan. 1, 1958; daughter, Kathy “Susi Baby” Bromley and husband, David “My Buddy”; the pride and joy, granddaughter Lauryn “Tater Bug” Sheeley; his granddogs, Noodles and Riley; brothers, Jack Kline of Hagerstown and Jay Kline of Greencastle; sister, Dorothy Miller of Williamsport; two special people who were like children to him, Charlie Semler and Janell Flook; and nieces and nephews.
Due to Billy’s wishes, services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md.
Donations may be made in memory of Billy to a charity of one’s choice.
