Catherine Barbara Lewis, 66, of Falling Waters, W.Va., went to meet the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer for four years.
She was a very special person to her family and friends. She retired Oct. 31, 2008, from The Home Depot warehouse in Hagerstown, Md. Shortly thereafter in 2008, she was diagnosed with cancer.
Bill Lewis and wife, Belinda, Wanda Lewis and Rick Dudderar, and Jenny Norton and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Ashley Newcome and Jennings, Amber Norton and Julie Lewis; great-grandchild, Dakoda; an adopted son, Curt Blinkenstaff and wife, Dana; one brother, Ernest Carbaugh and wife, Ellen, of Salisbury, Md.; and sisters, Betty Delauther, Nancy Brown and husband, Wade, and Judy Hewitt, all of Falling Waters, Charlene Harne and husband, Bobby, of Smithsburg, Md., and Mary Moore of Hagerstown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris Lewis, who passed away May 26, 2006; brother, Donald Carbaugh; and two sisters, Sue Lewis and Martha Wantz.
Her body was donated to science, per Barb’s wishes.
