Charles Randolph Marcum, 62, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his residence.
Born Aug. 26, 1950, in Leesburg, Va., he was the son of the late Robert Gibson Marcum Sr. and Agnes Davis Marcum Elliott of Dublin, Va.
He was of the Christian faith.
Charles was raised on the Grove farm in Sharpsburg, Md., and was a dairy farmer from childhood to 1987. From 1989 until present day he was a truck driver. He will be missed by many and touched a lot of lives in his own way.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by former wife and mother to their children, Alicia D. Marcum; one son, Justin S. Marcum of Hagerstown; three daughters, Rachael D. Miller of Hagerstown, Miranda L. Coplin of Greencastle, Pa., and Stephanie R. Marcum of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three sisters, Brenda Mahoney of Hedgesville, W.Va.; Rachel Honaker of Dublin, Va., and June Marcum of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three brothers, Robert Marcum Jr. of Hagerstown, Dale Marcum of Fairplay, Md., and Dennis Marcum of Sharpsburg, Md.; six grandchildren, Shannon, Melanie and Matthew Marcum and Kayleigh, Anaiyah and Jaliyah Coplin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Bettie Sue Keesecker.
Services will be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, W.Va., with Pastor Pete Buchanan officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
