Mr. Charles W. "Bill" DeLouney, 81, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his home.
Born Nov. 21, 1930, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Richard H. and Freda V. (Messner) DeLouney.
Charles was married for 50 years to the late Jeannette L. (Webber) DeLouney.
He was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Charles retired as a purchasing agent from Penna Wire Rope in Williamsport, Pa., and Martinsburg, W.Va., and previously had worked for Hydra Pak and Maryland Paper Co. He was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Freda Wolfe, of Hagerstown; a brother, Eddie Grimes of Funkstown; a grandson, Paul Wolfe; a special friend, Ronald E. Long of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his stepson, Robert Semler Jr.; and a stepdaughter, Janie Bean.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jerry Lowans officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
