Edna Mae Turner, 91, of 931-A Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, March 11, 2011, at her home.
Born Sunday, Feb. 15, 1920, in Wolfsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Shaffer and Amanda Mae Ritchey Shaffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Turner, in 1995.
She was employed in the clothing industry as a manager, and had worked locally with L'aiglon. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Atwell Moulton of Merrimack, N.H., and Joyce K. Rex of Nazareth, Pa.; two sisters, Bertie M. Edd of Tiltonsville, Ohio, and Kay McClelland of Mesa, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and dearest friends, Scott and Judy Chambers of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison officiating.
Private interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
