Eugene Frederick Winebrenner, 86, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Wednesday, March 18, 1925, in Eckhart, Md., he was the son of the late Frederick Winebrenner and the late Mary (Kramer) Winebrenner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Winebrenner, in 2001.
He was employed with Seafarers International Union and Giant Food Corp.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in France and Germany.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Jaynes of Monongahela, Pa.; son, Robert Winebrenner and wife, Barbara, of Hagerstown; grandson, John Winebrenner and wife, Stephanie; granddaughter, Katie Piccoli and husband, Randy; granddaughter, Maria Winebrenner and fiancé, Dario Tadic; granddaughter, Diane Jaynes; and great-grandson, Todd Piccoli.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, David Jaynes; and son-in-law, David Jaynes Sr.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 10:45 a.m. at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Md.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
