Evelyn May Leisinger, 95, of Williamsport, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village Nursing Home in Hagerstown, Md.
She was born July 25, 1917, in Martinsburg, W.Va., to the late Leonard McKinley and Edith May Smallwood VanMetre.
She attended Martinsburg High School, Martinsburg Business College and Columbia Business College of Hagerstown.
She was employed by Fairchild Aircraft, Hagerstown for 40 years until retiring in 1983. She was previously employed by Interwoven Mills, Martinsburg.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown, and also attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport.
She was a member of American Legion Post 202 Auxiliary, Williamsport and Local 842 UAW.
Survivors include: ex-husband, John E. Leisinger Sr. of Hagerstown; son, Ed Leisinger of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; son, Rhett L. Leisinger of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Lee Kauffman.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Father John Jicha officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
