Francis Adam Laupert, 91, of Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Md.
Born Dec. 25, 1919, in Westernport, Md., he was the son of the late Adam Francis and Gladys Louise (Anthony) Laupert.
Francis, nicknamed “F A,” was employed by the Western Maryland Railway as a trainman for 33 years.
He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hagerstown, where he served actively as a Bible teacher and was involved with Bible instruction in the prison system of Maryland.
He is survived by a son, Forrest Larry Laupert of Bridgewater, N.J.; daughters, Sherry Ann Laupert Dunkin of Smithsburg, Md., and Frances Laupert of North Miami, Fla., from a marriage with Irene Yuhost Laupert; and granddaughters, Lauren Nicole Dunkin and Leah Christine Dunkin.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 30 Nottingham Road, Hagerstown, with James Fowler officiating.
