Guyeula May Hammersla, 82, of Williamsport, Md., passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Julia Manor Health Care Center after a long illness.
Born May 8, 1930, in Kirby, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Zella and Charles Dean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Hammersla Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sandman of Cumberland, Md., and Laura E. Shuman and husband, Lynn, of Williamsport; two sons, Charles R. Hammersla Jr. and wife, Donna, of Williamsport and Raymond J. Hammersla Jr. of Hagerstown, Md.; a brother, Charles Dean of Moorefield, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Msgr. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the service Friday.
Wake following the services Friday will be at Williamsport Red Men Lodge 84, 16129 Lappans Road, Williamsport.
